Potential for future funding

The Swedish Research Council, Sweden's largest scientific funder, will announce attractive funding for assistant professors with an international background in 2027. If you are recruited in this initiative, you will be entered into the pool from which Lund University will select the nominees for this new, prestigious funding. Lund University's final nominees will be selected in a university-wide process once the research council's conditions and terms have been published. If your project is found to be competitive in this selection process, you will be nominated.

In Sweden and across Europe, there are also many and varied opportunities to secure funding for ambitious and innovative research. At Lund University, you will receive training in how to write strong and competitive grant applications. Lund is the most successful university in Sweden in obtaining funding from the European Research Council, with projects across many different fields of science and scholarship. Researchers at Lund have access to a comprehensive support programme for all types of ERC funding to develop their ideas into competitive applications and successful projects.
