About Culture and creativity management

The Culture and Creativity Management specialisation gives you an understanding of how cultural and creative organisations are structured and why these structures differ across the public, private and non-profit sectors. You will study leadership, management and governance in environments where artistic and creative processes are central.

You will explore the unique conditions that foster entrepreneurship and innovation in the cultural, creative, and non-profit sectors. This includes understanding the challenges professionals in these fields face and the strategies they use to overcome them.

About Service Management

This programme gives you in-depth knowledge of the service sectors with an understanding of the specific organisational and managerial needs of service activities.

You will develop the skills to create, manage, and organise innovative business ideas, services, ventures, and organisations. You will also explore the intricate connections between organisation and leadership in a service context. During the programme you will learn of organisational and management theories, equipping you with the expertise needed to excel in the field.

The programme is taught at Lund University in Helsingborg.

A social science programme

This is a social science programme with a strong link to research, which shapes the teaching approach. The focus on social science theory sets it apart from other management programmes.

From theory to applied knowledge

This programme integrates theoretical knowledge with practical insights. The courses combine theoretical lectures and research assignments with excursions and guest lectures from industry representatives.

The courses are designed to develop your critical thinking and analytical skills. This will enable you to make informed evaluations and propose solutions to industry challenges. This program will enable you to describe and challenge key theories, concepts, and perspectives, such as service logic, within service studies.

Examinations

You will be assessed in many different ways, for example by oral and written examinations. You will also make group presentations and written individual assignments.

Degree

After completing the programme, you will receive a degree of Master of Science (120 credits) with a major in Service Management.

Career

This programme is suitable for a career in the cultural sector, public administration, creative industries, or the nonprofit sector. Whether you're looking to enhance your entrepreneurial and managerial skills or deepen your understanding of these industries, this programme prepares you for roles such as manager, analyst, entrepreneur, civil servant, consultant, or researcher.
