It includes international collaboration, bringing together professionals and students in architecture, landscape architecture and urban design from around the world to design proposals for sustainable urban challenges.
You will develop skills to translate social, economic and environmental goals into physical urban design solutions.
The programme benefits from a strong international network and a well-established reputation in the field of sustainable urban design.
The School of Architecture offers state-of-the-art facilities, including personal workspaces, digital fabrication labs with 3D printers and laser cutters, and fully equipped workshops. The programme’s close ties to the architectural community provide a rich learning environment.
The school is part of LTH, Lunds Tekniska Högskola (The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University).
Teaching combines lectures, seminars, design studios and workshops, giving you both theoretical and practical knowledge. You will work on advanced design projects, both individually and in teams, with regular feedback from faculty and practitioners in the field of urban design. Guest lecturers from leading architectural and urban design firms contribute to the teaching, providing professional insights and expertise.
The final degree project allows you to explore an area of sustainable urban design, either within the university or in collaboration with different actors within the field of urban design, in Lund or abroad.
Lund University’s location in the dynamic Copenhagen–Malmö region provides a unique context for exploring the balance between economic growth and environmental development.
Field trips are integrated into the programme, providing insights into urban design practices in cities such as Copenhagen, Berlin and Amsterdam. Students participate at their own expense; those who cannot participate will be given alternative assignments in Lund.
