Your arrival in Lund

Watch on Youtube: Welcome messages and top tips for new students.

Arriving in Lund on Arrival Day

Most international students arrive in Lund on Arrival Day, about two weeks before the start of the semester. To make your arrival as smooth and welcoming as possible, our international mentors will meet you at Copenhagen Airport and at the railway station in Lund to take you to the Arrival Day venue during Arrival Day. On Arrival Day you will be able to check-in and receive all information you need about life in Lund. LU Accommodation representatives will also be present to make it easy for tenants to collect their keys.

About Arrival Day

Orientation Weeks

Another reason to come to Lund on Arrival Day is that you will be able to participate in the Orientation Weeks from the start. The Orientation Weeks are filled with activities, fairs, excursions, tours and seminars, and are a great opportunity to join a mentor group and make new friends, see new places and learn more about Sweden and Lund.

If you can’t come on Arrival Day

It is very important that you inform your contact person at Lund University of your arrival date. Your contact person will either be your exchange coordinator or your programme coordinator.

If you have a confirmed room through LU Accommodation, you should also inform them of the date of your arrival. You will need to go to the LU Accommodation office on arrival to pick up your key.

We look forward to seeing you on Arrival Days!

If you have any questions regarding the arrangements on Arrival Day, please contact the International Desk.
