How to apply for an open position

Lund University uses the Varbi recruitment system for all recruitments. Applying is straightforward and only takes a few steps:

  1. In the vacancy announcement, and click 'Login and apply'.
  2. Log in to Varbi or create a new account.
  3. Complete the application form and upload the required documents.
  4. Click 'Submit application'.

All applications must be submitted through the recruitment system. Applications sent by email or via any other channel cannot be considered.

  • Deadline: Applications close at 23:59 (CET) on the final day listed in the announcement.
  • File formats: You can upload files in .pdf, .txt, .rtf, .doc or .docx format, up to 10 MB.

What happens after accepting a job offer?

New international staff will receive support and guidance from the University on settling into Sweden and starting your new role.

If you are moving to Lund University from outside the EU or the Nordic region, you may need a residence permit. After accepting an offer, your department will help you start the application process with the Swedish Migration Agency.
