University Board
The University Board is the highest decision-making body of the University. Its role is to "supervise all matters concerning the higher education institution" and it is "responsible for the performance of its duties", according to the Higher Education Act, Chapter 2, Section 2.
The University Board consists of
- the Vice-Chancellor
- eight community representatives appointed by the Swedish Government, one of whom is chair of the board
- three members of the academic staff and
- three students.
The current term of office for the community representatives is from 1 May 2023 to 30 September 2024 and for the academic staff representatives from 1 May 2023 to 30 April 2026. The term of office of the student representatives runs from 1 July to 30 June each year.
