Scholarships from Swedish foundations
Open to current Lund University students
Each year, Swedish foundations announce a number of scholarships that are open to current Lund University students. The scholarships are often intended for a very specific group of students (such as students in a particular field).
When to apply
A small number of scholarships from Swedish foundations are open for applications each autumn (usually late September – early October) and spring (usually March–April). The current application period is open from 22 September to 5 October.

Torsten Tegstam’s fund for studies in music and musicology
- For whom: The foundation awards scholarships to students with at least one semester of previous studies at the Division of Musicology at Lund University or students with at least one semester of previous studies at Malmö Academy of Music.
- Available sum: SEK 50 000
- Application period: 22 September–5 October
How to apply
You apply for the scholarships from the Swedish foundations via the online application system (unless stated otherwise).
Carefully read through the call for applications for the scholarship want to apply for to make sure that you are eligible to apply and to make sure that you submit the correct supporting documents.
Please note that even though the online application system is active during other periods (since it is used for several scholarship applications) you should only apply during the specified dates to ensure your application is processed.
Decisions and payments
The time taken to process applications varies for the various different scholarships. Decisions are published in the online application system. The scholarships are usually paid out in the same semester as they are announced.
