Reading these classic texts will provide insight into key ideas concerning philosophy, religion, politics and science. The concept of 'classics' is examined from critical and historical perspectives. Throughout the course, you will discuss and evaluate various approaches to reading theoretical texts, such as close reading, historical contextualisation, and critical interpretation. The ideas in these works have had an enormous influence on our society, and many of them remain relevant to the present day. Reading them allows us to understand where these ideas originated and the problems they were intended to solve. And, as you will discover, these texts are often wonderful and a pleasure to read.

Selection criteria
Seats are allocated according to the following: The general average (GPA) of your higher secondary school leaving certificate: 34 %, The Swedish national university aptitude test: 34 %, number of previous ECTS at application deadline (up to 165): 32 %. If students have equal credentials, seats are allocated based on their results on The Swedish National University Aptitude Test. If this too is equal, seats are allocated based on a draw.

are required to pay tuition fees. You pay an instalment of the tuition fee in advance of each
semester.
