In this course, you will learn to identify opportunities for innovation and develop user-centred, impactful, and innovative digital solutions that respond to real-world needs. You will learn to pitch your ideas with a digital transformation mindset. Through a combination of theoretical insights and practical tasks, you will explore how new digital solutions can drive change across various industries and societal needs.

You will work in teams on real-world problems, realise bold ideas, and develop MVPs (minimum viable products) with mentoring and supervision. Key skills include market analysis, requirement elicitation, innovation strategy, solution making, and effective pitching.

Hands-on projects and workshops will prepare you for real-world challenges and solution development. You will learn from experienced lecturers and industry experts. During the course, you will also have access to the latest research and tools in digital innovation.

The assessment is based on group assignments, a project work, and individual assessments.

Upon completion, you will be prepared to work with IT-driven projects and develop innovative digital solutions.

Prerequisites

Admission to the course requires general requirements and English 6 as well as the courses: ”Informatics: Introduction to Information Systems, 1-30 cr” and ”Informatics: Information Systems and Business Development, 31-60 cr” or the equivalent. An exception for the general entry requirement in Swedish will be granted when the course is given in English.

Selection criteria

Seats are allocated according to: The general average (GPA) of your higher secondary school leaving certificate: 20 %, The Swedish national university aptitude test: 10 %, number of previous ECTS at application deadline (up to 165): 70 %.
