Why did you choose Lund University?

I chose Lund University because its research agenda is closely aligned with my own, offering strong opportunities for collaboration and intellectual exchange.

Combined with the university’s international reputation and academic excellence, Lund provides an ideal environment to develop my research further.

Can you briefly describe your current research?

My research is in applied microeconomics, at the intersection of labor, education, and personnel economics.

In education, I study the design of financial aid schemes and incentive policies for teachers.

In labor economics, I focus on the design and evaluation of active labor market programs, using mostly causal inference methods combined with rich administrative data.

What will be your main research focus during your time at Lund University?

During my time at Lund University, I plan to focus on the economics of education and labor, with particular attention to the design of teacher contracts.

My research will study how contract structures can improve teacher selection and incentivize effort on the job.
