Outline

The structure of the programme is flexible in order to increase your opportunities to tailor your studies to your own interests, which means that some courses may be offered across several different semesters. As a result, the course list below does not always provide a complete picture of the semester in which you will study a specific course.

The courses within the programme are not yet fully completed and will be published as soon as they are set.

Frequently asked questions

All specialisations within the Bachelor's programme in Physics lead to the same degree. The differences between the specialisations concern only a few courses. Therefore, you do not need to switch specialisations – instead, you simply apply for the courses that belong to the specialisation you wish to follow.

As a student in undergraduate education, you have the right to apply for credit transfer for previous education. This applies to both Swedish and foreign education, including exchange studies. In order for your application to be considered by the Faculty of Science, you need to be admitted to, registered at and studying at the faculty. Your application consists of a form and supporting documents/qualifications. Please note that you should submit your application well in advance. The processing time can be up to eight weeks.

To switch from a programme within the Faculty of Science at Lund University (such as the Bachelor's programme in Mathematics) to the Bachelor's programme in Physics (within the same faculty), you must meet the following requirements: - Have completed at least 30 credits that are part of the physics degree. These credits can include both mathematics and physics courses if they are part of the physics programme's curriculum. - Meet the general eligibility criteria for admission to the Bachelor's programme in Physics. In summary, it is possible to switch from mathematics to physics if you meet these conditions. When it is time to apply for transfer, please contact the study counsellor and I will provide you with the necessary form and help you with the administrative steps.

The programme is full-time, which corresponds to approximately 40 hours per week. Part of the time consists of scheduled teaching such as lectures, laboratory work and calculation exercises. The rest of the time is spent on calculations, working on projects and preparing for exams. Many students often work in groups and study on campus, which usually makes studying both more enjoyable and more structured.
