We are a free service open to all students studying courses and programmes conducted in English at Lund University. We provide individual and group consultations (including feedback on texts), workshops and seminars on topics in two areas:
1. Academic texts and the writing process
- Drafting and argument-building
- Avoiding plagiarism
- Clarifying and cohering
2. Reading and study skills
- Time management and prioritising
- Thinking critically
- Reading strategies
Do you find the writing process challenging and sometimes lonely? In that case, we recommend that you participate in one of our writing sessions.
You can find more information about the writing sessions, current dates and how to register on the webpage below.
Do you have any short, specific questions about academic writing or study strategies? Or do you just want to know what help is available from the Academic Support Centre? Bring your questions to our digital drop-in!
You can join our drop-in every Tuesday from 11:30–12:30 until 31 May. Each drop-in consultation can last up to 15 minutes.
To be able to join our drop-in sessions, you will first need to log in to LU Zoom. You can find information on how to do this in the University’s student guide for Canvas (‘Using Canvas’).
Please note that we do not provide textual feedback during drop-in consultations. If you have more extensive questions, we recommend that you book a consultation instead.
Recorded lectures about study skills
Do you find it difficult to keep up with your reading? Are you procrastinating your studies? Would you like to develop better note-taking skills? In that case, you should join our Canvas course with videos about study skills.
You can make an appointment with us through our online booking system TimeCenter. New time slots become available approximately four weeks in advance. All appointments are on Zoom until further notice.
If you are studying courses or a programme at Lund University with Swedish as the language of instruction, please contact 'Studieverkstaden'.
You can make an appointment with us through our booking system TimeCenter.
Open for appointments Monday–Friday.
