The Academic Support Centre

Welcome to the Academic Support Centre (ASC)! We can give you tips and advice about how to improve your study skills and your academic writing or reading.
The Academic Support Centre can support students in first or second-cycle studies when it comes to study skills and writing academic texts. You can come to us for help in finding efficient ways of working on assignments, essays and take-home exams. We can also give you tips and advice about reading and absorbing course literature.
Depending on what suits you, we offer different types of support, both on campus and digitally. We host a number of lectures each semester on the topics of study skills and efficient reading and writing strategies. You can also book a consultation with one of our language and study consultants, register for one of our writing sessions or access our digital resources.
Our activities are free of charge and are offered in both English and Swedish. We are accessible for all the University’s students, regardless of whether you study in Lund, Malmö, Helsingborg or Ljungbyhed.

Consultation
If you need support with study skills or academic writing, you can book a consultation with one of the Academic Support Centre’s language and study consultants. Consultation is offered individually or in groups. If you write together, we recommend that you attend the same consultation session.
During consultation, you can get help with:

- structure
- language and style.
Our role is not to proofread texts. During a consultation we can, however, offer advice on how to improve your language and your writing.
