Applicants for the Master's Programme in Sustainable Urban Design must submit a digital portfolio, showing your best design works in architecture, urban design and/or landscape architecture. The digital portfolio must be submitted as a single PDF file – maximum size 10 MB – and in the file you must also include a statement of purpose and your CV, maximum one page each.
Read the instructions below carefully and submit the file directly to Lund University according to the information found at the bottom of this page. Do not submit the file to University Admissions in Sweden.
A hardcopy of the portfolio is not requested.
Compile the requested documents in a single PDF file (max. 10 MB). Documents submitted in other formats and/or in separate files will not be considered!
Compile in the following order:
- Your portfolio, reflecting the scope and variety of your previous training. You should submit work that represents your personal interests and abilities. Include a brief description of the context in which each work was created if such is necessary to provide a clearer understanding (assignment settings, main objectives, requirements, prerequisites, design concept etc.). The portfolio should show how you research and explore a design project and how you develop your ideas. If group work is presented, indicate clearly the role that you played in the project. If professional work is presented, indicate clearly your contribution to the project.
- Your statement of purpose of maximum one page with a brief description of your interest in studying Sustainable Urban Design.
- Your CV of a maximum one page (make sure to include your contact information).
Naming the portfolio file
Name the file using the following name format: last name_first name_application number
Your application number is the number generated by University Admissions for your application.
If you re-submit an updated/altered version of your file, rename by adding the date: last name_first name_application number_ddmmyy
Submission and deadline
Submit your portfolio by using our web form (link below). The deadline for submission is 1 February 2024. The web form will close at 24:00 CET. No late submissions will be accepted.
