Food Technology and Nutrition student ambassador Armaghan

Introducing Armaghan
Hi! My name is Armaghan and I'm the student ambassador for the Master's Programme in Food Technology and Nutrition. I am happy to answer any questions you might have about the programme, courses, student life, life in Lund and Sweden. Please note that I cannot answer questions about the application process, scholarships or residence permits.
My experience so far
Being a student in Lund has been a great personal and academic experience. The well-structured and unique courses, as well as a friendly learning environment, enable you not only to develop your knowledge further, but also to improve your problem solving and critical thinking skills. The things that I like the most about the courses are our study visits and group work. Also, being in an international environment and making friends with people from all over the world gives you this opportunity to collaborate with people from different backgrounds and be exposed to different perspectives.
Lund is a beautiful, vibrant small city. Before coming here, I thought that living in a small city would be boring, but I was wrong. Lund has a lot to offer, ranging from cosy cafes to beautiful parks, and you can easily find events and activities according to your interests, which makes your student life even more exciting.
I was surprised by how well everyone can speak English, and not knowing the Swedish language was not a barrier at all, which makes it easier to integrate into the Swedish culture and never feel excluded. Swedish fika culture is one of the things that I fell in love with from the first day. You instantly understand that you should not miss a chance of socialising and hanging out while having fika with a cinnamon bun.
