Upcoming lunch seminars are listed below. They will be held online via Zoom. A link will be sent to you by email after you have signed up. You will be able to sign up here from late August.
3 November – Coping with stress
What stress is and strategies on how to handle it.
17 November – Get started! Why wait? How to avoid procrastination.
Do you find yourself putting off the inevitable? Have you ever finished a project just before deadline? Do you tell yourself “I’ll start tomorrow? ”. Join us for an online lunch seminar where we will explore procrastination in the context of academic studies and talk about tips, tricks, and useful advice to help you beat procrastination.
8 December – Feeling lonely
Most people feel lonely sometimes, for many different reasons. If loneliness is affecting your life, there are things you can try that may help. If you want to find out more about this, please join our lunch-seminar.
Stress management course
A smaller group of students will meet three times to learn more about what stress is and how to handle it.
The course is based on CBT techniques and mindfulness.
If you sign up, you are expected to attend all three sessions.
The number of seats is limited, so if you are interested in participating or if you have any questions, please contact us as soon as possible once autumn 2021 dates have been published here.
Do you have problems with procrastination?
The Student Health Centre has started a procrastination group for international students. The group is intended for students who have difficulty organising, or repeatedly postpone, their studies. The purpose of the group is to work together to reduce procrastination and receive support in behavioural change.
The group meets every week on Thursdays 14:15–15:45. The meetings are conducted online (via Zoom) due to the current situation, until further notice.

Winter blues – how to survive the darkness
A seminar on how the dark season affects our mood, with tips on how to make the situation easier and how to feel better.
