What Artur says about some of the Pharmaceutical Technology courses
Artur Sahakjan's experiences of two of the Pharmaceutical Technology courses
Medicinal Chemistry [KOKN01]
"This is a very interesting course, which describes the discovery, synthesis and modification of a drug. I learned to think about these aspects as a medicinal chemist, where you combine chemistry and biology. Imagine to be able to modify a drug in a way where you can improve the binding to a receptor and make it more effective. And all this for the purpose of helping people. The course layout worked very well and the workload was manageable. The teaching method was great – the students are solving the problems for everyone.
Organic Chemistry [KOKN05]
"Not all molecules can be produced by natural means and this leads to a problem that can be solved by organic chemistry, where one learns about the synthesis of the molecules and the driving force in it. During the course I learned theoretically how to synthesis and ways to improve these synthesis. The course layout worked very well and the workload was manageable. There was always a teacher if problems arose during the exercises."
