"I graduated in June 2021."
What is your current job and where is it located?
"I am currently working as a Supplier Quality Engineer at Volvo Group in Gothenburg, Sweden."
How did you find your job and how long did it take?
"I found my job via LinkedIn. I started looking for jobs during the time I did my Master's thesis."
Favourite thing about your job?
"Since I am working with ensuring supplier quality, I travel to the suppliers in Europe around 50% of my work time. The best thing about my job is to develop and be present with suppliers, making sure their production processes will deliver high-quality parts with zero defects to the Volvo Group. I also enjoy travelling to new countries and meeting people from different cultures."
How are you changing the industry or the world (in a large or small way)?
"The automotive industry these days is an area in constant development and change in terms of technology, digitalisation and sustainability just to mention a few. It is amazing following and having an active role in that journey! As a supplier quality engineer, I am always striving to develop my suppliers towards constantly higher quality demands in order to make our end customers happy."
What was especially useful about the program that you use in your everyday work?
"I would say there is something in each course which I use every day. When working as a supplier quality engineer it is vital with knowledge of materials and production, the combination of the two offers a multidisciplinary approach. If I were to pick one course, I would say the one in Smart Manufacturing."
What do you miss most from your time at Lund University/Faculty of Engineering (LTH)? What were the highlights of your time at Lund?
"I am a person who is curious and always eager to learn new things, therefore I can miss the part of deepening my knowledge of new things. I do miss the student life in Lund a lot, it was such a fun time of my life!"
How international was your programme?
"The programme was very international, we were a group of people from a lot of different countries."
What was the focus of your thesis?
"I conducted my Master's thesis at Volvo, the thesis aimed to conduct a pre-study for how Volvo can measure product dimensions of the complete truck in an automatic way in the assembly process and how to detect deviations in height and length of the truck."
