Summary, in English
(1) the turbine company (for a long period of time called STAL), which were owned by the following groups: Asea, ABB, Alstom and today Siemens,
(2) the aluminium and copper company Finspongs Metallverk, in 1942 bought by Svenska Metallverken in Västerås, which in turn was acquired by the Gränges Group. Today (2006) the aluminium production belongs to the SAPA and the copper part to the Finnish-owned Outokumpu (in 2005 Outokumpu Copper was aquired by Nordic Capital and changed later name to Luvata; in 2011 the German Aurubis group bought Luvata Rolled Products and decided in the same year to move it to Holland and USA in 2013). The rise of union cooperation within other Swedish metal and engineering groups is also discussed as well as the attitudes of employers and the changing strategies of the Swedish Metalworkers' Union towards union group activities.
