آیا اوباما واقعا دغدغه ایران را دارد؟

Is Obama Really Concerned about Iran?

Author

Summary, in English

With the unfolding shift of global geostrategic gravity centers as a result of the rise of emerging powers like China and India, America's strategic priorities are shifting too, that is, away from such "quagmires" as the Middle East and more towards the Asia Pacific, Eurasia and the Arctic. The United States thus seeks to disengage from the Middle East, which means it is no longer as worried about Iran as it used to be, but is simply using the "threat" of Iran as a means to assuage its Arab allies and assure them that Washington will not abandon them. The Iran "threat" also serves as a good platform for the USA to sell huge volumes of weapons to the Arab nations in the Middle East.
