Performativitet i sånger av och med Christina Kjellsson

Author

  • Isabell Dahlberg

Summary, in English

In this paper I have attempted to highlight performative aspects of the Swedish musician and songwriter Christina Kjellsson's songs, i.e. 'performative' meaning that which has to do with performing something, on for example a stage. I have looked at the use of rhyme, of dramatic beginnings, catchy encores and effective ends, the many details from everyday life in combination with personal address, shifting narrative perspectives, employment of meta musical (and other) references, and also aspects related to performing, such as appearance, set-up, the relation to the audience etc.
