The inner and outer water balance in six Swedish cities has been studied.
Direct stormwater contribution to the combined system has been
determined, as has drainage of soil and groundwater to this system.
Diffuse runoff not being in the sewerage or stormwater systems has also
been determined. The leakage into the sewerage system is almost the
same in all cities. The diffuse runoff depends on climatic factors.
