Cultural Production Outside the Confines of the Institution

Author

Summary, in English

Abstract in Undetermined
With an outset in the example of street art, the presentation discussed the challenges institutions face when wanting to support the areas of cultural production which are based on precisely their status of being on the outside of the institutional system.

Apart from discussing the difficulties, I also argued that a munificipality (or other institution) supporting/challenging these cultures may lead to a fruitful exchange between sub- and countercultures and the dominating culture.
