What Robin says about the Master's in Bioinformatics
Robin from Germany
What is the best thing about the Master's programme in Bioinformatics?
"One of the best things about the Master's programme is the more applied style of teaching. During my Bachelor's studies, everything I learned was very theoretical and not really related to the actual work of a bioinformatican, which is in strong contrast to what I have experienced at Lund University."
What do you think of the teaching style?
"The teaching style is a good example of the Swedish mentality. It is non-strict and at the same time adjusted to the individual needs; nobody is left behind."
What is it like to be an international student at Lund University?
"This is the first time I study abroad. As an international student you feel welcome and the overall experience is one that I would not have wanted to miss."
Why should prospective students choose to study the Master’s in Bioinformatics at Lund University?
"The teaching style at Lund University is more applied. There is a good balance between theory and applied work, which prepares you well for the challenges that come after the Master's programme."
What is the highlight of your time in Lund so far?
"One highlight I experienced in Lund was the 'Kulturnatten' (Culture Night) festival. The whole city was vibrating with life and filled with people, music, art and events."
